Therapeutic Yoga & Somatic Approaches
My work is informed by ongoing training in therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery, somatic movement, and polyvagal-informed approaches.

Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy training, I integrate principles from therapeutic yoga to support nervous system regulation, embodiment, and a greater sense of safety in the body. This work recognises that trauma is not only held in thoughts and emotions, but also within the body and nervous system.

These approaches influence both my therapy sessions and the therapeutic yoga classes I offer. Rather than focusing on performance or posture, the emphasis is on choice, awareness, gentle movement, breath, and developing a compassionate relationship with the body.

This holistic approach supports clients to reconnect with themselves in a way that feels grounded, respectful, and led by their own pace and capacity.
